The Petrides School
PRINCIPAL’S WEEKLY MESSAGE
Our Middle School SNOW BALL dance was a huge success! Our 7th and 8th grade students enjoyed dinner and dancing with their classmates. Ms. Souffrin is planning the next Middle School event, a Friday Rec Night featuring sports competitions and arts and crafts activities, happening in March for all middle school grades!
We’re celebrating Black History Month
Once again, our school will become a “Living Museum” of notable African Americans, whose contributions have impacted our society in countless ways throughout history. Each class will showcase one or more important contributors, including inventors, scientists, authors, artists, activists, and athletes. In every class throughout the school, students will choose important African Americans and work cooperatively to research their lives and works. Then, students will display their knowledge creatively by decorating their classroom doors and presenting projects, such as dioramas, poster boards, Google slides presentations, and reenactments. “Door Tours” will be scheduled for later in the month.
