Summer Rising Applications Open on March 4

 

All City students in grades K–8 during the 2024–25 school year are eligible to apply, including multilingual learners, immigrant students, and students with disabilities.

 

Summer Rising runs from:

 • July 2 through August 15 for students in grades K–5

• July 2 through August 8 for students in grades 6–8

Read Across America - March 3 – March 7

“Read Across America" is a nationwide initiative led by the National Education Association (NEA) that aims to promote a love of reading among children and adults by providing resources and encouraging communities to celebrate reading throughout the year.

 

“Sharing stories, sharing smiles”

On Friday, March 7th, during WIN period, students from 3rd and 4th grade will be paired with a class from K-2. The goal of this activity is to have students in the older grades bond with younger students and read books to them. It emphasizes the importance of finding a love for reading and engaging with their peers.
