Dear Petrides Parents, 

 

Teachers returned to school on Tuesday and have been busy preparing to welcome our students back!  We’ve missed our kids and we’re looking forward to being back together soon!  J 

 

BACK to SCHOOL Town Hall Meetings: 

The assistant principals and I will be hosting a “Back to School” live, virtual Town Hall Meeting for each component on Monday, September 14th, according to the following schedule: 

5:45 pm Elementary School 

6:30 pm Middle School 

7:15 pm High School

MEET and GREET your TEACHERS: 

We will be scheduling Meet and Greet sessions to allow your child’s teachers to introduce themselves and share their plans and their expectations for the upcoming school year.  Meeting dates and times will be varied throughout the week of September 14th, to allow families with more than one child to attend multiple meetings.    

 

START of SCHOOL: 

As a reminder, ALL of our students are scheduled to begin REMOTE learning on Wednesday, September 16th.  Teachers have started to invite students to their Google classrooms; you (and/or your child) will find this information in their @Petridesschool email account.   

 

Teachers will engage students briefly on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with synchronous learning activities in their Google classrooms – providing an opportunity for kids to meet their new teachers and connect with classmates.   Teachers are currently working on Grade Level Remote learning schedules for synchronous learning; these will be posted weekly.  

 

Students participating in our Blended Learning program will report to school for in-person instruction beginning on Monday, September 21st.  Students designated in COHORT A will report to school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week; students designated in COHORT B will report to school on Thursday and Friday.
