Important Information for Parents of High School Students

April 6, 2021

Dear High School Parents,
Please see below updates on sports and student activities . . .

ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS:
We are happy to report that our school budget will support the cost of AP exams for all students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses this school year, therefore we will NOT be collecting any fees associated with AP exams.   As discussed at our AP Exam Parent Meeting, students must select from either the paper/pencil or electronic option for taking each exam.  Teachers of AP courses will discuss details with their students.

High School SING!
We're pleased to let you know that our Faculty Advisors have started working with our experienced upper classmen to design a virtual version of our Annual High School SING! competition.  We are currently recruiting high school students at each grade level to be part of this year's (virtual) student created production.   ALL students are welcome and encouraged to participate.

SPORTS
We are excited to announce the return of PSAL (Public School Athletic League) activities.  ALL of our high school students, both blended learning and fully remote students are invited to participate in our sports programs.  Please see attached letter from Mike Duffy, Athletic Director which provides details on sports offerings for the upcoming spring season as well as required medical documentation to secure students' eligibility status.  ALL participating students must submit a consent for Random COVID-19 Testing form.

We're Celebrating Our Seniors
We invite our remote only high school seniors to drive by at Circular Drive, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 7th (between 11 and 1:00) to pick up their Senior swag bag, which includes their personalized senior hoodie, senior class tee shirt and some other surprises 🙂
Gift bags will be distributed to students who attend in-person learning when they are in school.  We will be in touch with students who can't make it tomorrow to arrange delivery.

Sincerely,
Joanne Buckheit
Principal
