Update: Welcoming Back our Middle School Students

February 11, 2021

Dear Middle School Parents,

We are excited to welcome back designated Blended Learning students in grades 6 through 8 for in-person instruction on Thursday, February 25th

Our schedule for in-person learning will remain the same with COHORT A students reporting every Monday and Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays, and COHORT B students coming to school every Thursday and Friday and alternating Wednesdays.

Specifically:

COHORT A reports on Wednesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 17

COHOR B reports on Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 24

Because of the high number of students enrolled in our Blended Learning program, we cannot offer 5 days of in-person instruction for all participating students.  We are working to fill all available seats and will use the Department of Education’s guidelines to prioritize students for filling our classrooms to capacity daily.  Ms. Souffrin will be in contact with identified families to discuss the option for 5 day in-person instruction.

RELEASE of 2nd MARKING PERIOD REPORT CARDS:

Report cards, including grades for the 2nd marking period, are available NOW in PupilPath for students in grades 6-8.  In order to view the Report Card, be sure to set the “Year/Term” to 2020-2021Term 1.

Please know that 5th grade report cards will be available in your child’s “MySchools” account the week of March 1st.

Spring Parent Teacher Conferences will be schedule later in March.  Please reach out to Ms. Souffrin (bsouffrin@schools.nyc.gov) with any immediate concerns.

Just a reminder . . . school is closed tomorrow for Lunar New Year and all of next week for mid-winter recess.   Remote learning will resume on Monday, February 22nd.

Enjoy the time off!  Stay safe.

Sincerely,

Joanne Buckheit

Principal
