Senior Activities Dues Notice
September 2025
Dear Senior Class Student & Parent/Guardian,
Congratulations to the class of 2026 on entering your Senior year of High School! We have a lot of very important and special events planned for our Seniors. We hope to make your Senior year at Petrides a memorable one to cap your 13-year journey through school.
These events would not be possible without Senior Dues. The price for Senior Dues is $275.00. If you pay before December 1, 2025, your payment will be discounted and only be $260. That includes lots of exciting things and events. Senior dues help us cover the expense for exclusive senior events.
More specifically, our graduation expenses include the senior yearbook and the graduation ceremony. Graduation ceremony expenses include your student’s graduation caps & gown, diploma case, formal invitation, floral decorations, sound and stage. Senior dues also cover the cost of some of the senior activities we will plan throughout the year. Past senior activities have included senior movie night, senior sunrise & sunset gatherings, senior “sendoff” luncheon, and career & college “I decided” breakfast.
Keep in mind, not included with the cost of senior dues is the senior trip, senior prom or class ring.
- Prom - The prom is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Above. Tickets will go on sale in March 2026. The prom venue is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn and located on Staten Island.
- Senior Trip - Destination has not been established at this time. Our student government and senior class will vote on this year’s destination.
The senior trip, prom and class ring are voluntary and are not covered by senior dues. We understand that these events are expensive and will work with our vendors to ensure the lowest cost possible.
The senior dues payment of $260 can be made by December 1, 2025. After December 1, the price will be $275. The early payment allows us to make discounted deposits with our vendors. All payments can be placed by cash or check to Ms. Festa in the Principal's office. Credit card payments can be made online through the Petrides website https://www.petridesschool.com/ and click the “School Store” tab.
We will be having a meeting on September 10, 2025, for senior parents and guardians to discuss senior dues, expenses and other potential important dates coming up for the senior class. The meeting will take place via google meet at 7pm in the evening.
